Short answer
Your Certificate of Eligibility states your funding fee status. Lenders rely on it, so check it before closing. If it does not show an exemption you believe you have, ask VA to review it and give the lender the updated certificate. Then confirm the fee line on the Loan Estimate and Closing Disclosure.
